Painting is

the poetry I use to connect the past to the present. A scene that inspires me can come from anywhere and may seem ordinary - land, farms or people - but represent feelings and memories on a deeper level.

I also love painting still lifes. While I have more control on where and what things are the results and the intent are the same as painting landscapes - working with light, color, and shapes to evoke something of meaning to me and the viewer.
